Deposit: A deposit of 50 percent of the total estimated payment is required to secure all reservations. RESERVATIONS ARE NOT FINAL UNTIL YOUR DEPOSIT IS RECEIVED.
Refunds: A full refund is available if the reservation is cancelled 60 days prior to the scheduled date. The deposit is non-refundable for reservations cancelled with less than a 60-day notice. No refunds will be given for cancellation made less than 14 days prior to the scheduled date.
Remaining Balance: The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival at Rockcleft Camp.
Payment Methods: Acceptable forms of payment are as follows:
- In person at the cashier window in Sumpter Hall (Friends University campus) during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash and checks are acceptable forms of payment, along with MC, VISA and Discover credit or debit cards.
- Online with a credit or debit card.
- Check by mail. Mail check to Friends University, Attn: Rockcleft Camp, 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, KS 67213.
Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Substances: In accordance with Friends University’s Community Life Standards Policy, no alcoholic beverages, drugs (including marijuana) or tobacco products are allowed on the premises.
Pets: Pets are not allowed on the Rockcleft premises.
Firearms: No firearms of any kind are allowed on the premises.
Bedding and Linens: Bedding and personal linens are not provided.
Camp Clean-Up: Each group is responsible for cleaning the facilities they used before checking out. Cleaning equipment and supplies are provided. Groups will be charged a $50 cleaning fee if the facility is not left in satisfactory condition. Groups of more than 25 are required to supply a $125 cleaning/damage deposit, which is refundable upon receipt of checkout sheet. The Rockcleft caretaker will provide you with information about required clean-up activities.
Kitchens: The kitchens in each building are fully equipped. You do not need to bring cooking utensils. Paper towels and napkins, however, are not supplied.
Optimal Use: Consideration should always be given to optimal use of the campground facilities with minimal disturbance of other groups present. For example, a single family unit may not have exclusive use of the entire facility if space allows and others desire to make reservations for the same period of time. Any one group will be limited to seven days’ stay at one time. Groups of less than 15 people will be allowed to reserve only two cabins with kitchen facilities. The Rockcleft executive committee must approve any exceptions to this policy.
Vehicle Placard: The road to Rockcleft Camp travels over property not owned by Friends University. In order to identify you as a guest of Friends University to our neighbor we ask that you print the provided placard and prominently display on the front, back, or left side window of your vehicle.
Management: The Rockcleft caretaker lives on the premises year-round and is able to assist you.
