Scholarships

Unpublished

Many students qualify for scholarships, which can help offset the cost of a college education. Scholarships are awards given to students based on academic achievement, athletic endeavors, economic status, outside interests, hometown, genealogy, social background or other criteria. Scholarships do not have to be paid back.

Friends University offers a variety of institutional scholarships, for which all students are encouraged to apply. Additionally, many students have success when they search for external scholarships through philanthropic, government or other organizations.

"I chose Friends because it is a smaller university, and many of the members in my family have attended the University. Almost every family member has attended Friends: grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and a sibling. Since it is a smaller university, it is easy to get involved, make friends and experience college at its fullest."
