Brothers & Company, Senior Art Director

Garrett Fresh is the Senior Art Director at Brothers & Company, a Tulsa based advertising agency. When he's not pushing pixels or solving design problems, he's spending time with his family, or filling his brain with humorous quips and artsy flicks to solve even more of the world’s design problems.

Garrett’s professional development has more or less been a straight shot, with the occasional blind leap of faith forward to propel his career. He graduated high school having never clicked a mouse (Macs had yet to make their way to the public schools’ art departments). He started that summer of '93 with his first leap of faith: landing a job on a whim at Boggs sign company (a position for which he had no experience.) He attended the WSU school of Art and design that fall, and during his junior and senior years, applied and won an internship at a local design agency, The Greteman Group. That would count as his second leap of faith.

After earning a BFA in 1998, he was hired on at GG as a junior designer. That led to designer, which led to junior art director, which led to art director. On up the ranks to Senior Art Director and Associate Vice President. (Somewhere along that route he became the one hiring the interns.) In 2013, a third leap of faith was notched by going to work for Brothers & Company, designing for national accounts such as Under Armour, Bushnell, Toyota, Mossy Oak and Remington.

Garrett has had work featured in various Rockport books and design publications such as How and Graphis.

His work has also garnered several silver and gold Addy awards.

He commutes from west Wichita to a downtown satellite office, tooling around in a vintage 86 CRX SI. He has a beautiful wife and three adorable children, of which he will argue are his best designs to date.
