Student and Alumni Resources

Career Services at Friends University provides services to our current students and alumni at no charge. Whether you are a student that is just beginning your college journey and still deciding what you want to major in or if you are entering the later years of your career and need to update your resume to apply for that last job before retirement, Career Services is available to assist you.

Services offered through the office are outlined below and are categorized using our our office motto, EXPLORE.PREPARE.CONNECT.

EXPLORE.

  • We offer assessments to assist you in determining careers that are a good fit with your interests, abilities and values.
  • We also offer one-on-one counseling to help you create a plan to meet your career and vocational goals.

PREPARE.

  • Career Services staff and Career Peer Advisors are available to help you develop your resume and cover letter.
  • Workshops on career related topics, such as interviewing, networking, and resume and cover letter writing.
  • Mock interviews: Fine tune your interviewing skills with an interview with a team of faculty and/or staff members.

CONNECT.

  • Career Fairs and Networking events are available to meet and network with potential employers and area professionals.
  • Employer visits to campus for interviews and recruiting tables.
  • Job Postings are submitted by employers and are available to students and alumni through our online job database (friends-csm.symplicity.com).
