My Senior Day

My Senior Day is for high school seniors interested in finding out more about Friends University and what Friends can do to help facilitate your college search. The day begins at 9 a.m. with a welcome and campus tour. You will also meet with a professor and sit in on a class related to the major you are interested in. We also have professors and classes for those who are undecided.

The event continues with a student panel, and an overview of the admissions process, financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

If you are interested in fine arts you can audition for a scholarship. Athletic coaches will be available to meet with those interested in sports. The day will conclude with lunch.

Parents and guests are welcome, and dress is casual.

Transfer Visit Day

This day is specifically planned for transfer students who are interested in finding out more about Friends University and how we can help facilitate your continued education.

  • Hear from the President and take a campus tour
  • Hear from a student panel and the Admissions staff

Fine Arts Showcase

Are you a high school senior or transfer student interested in participating in the Fine Arts program at Friends University? If the answer is “Yes!” this day is for you!

The day will begin at 8 a.m. with the observation of the University Band rehearsal and student recitals. You will also sit in on a student panel and visit a faculty or classroom.  campus tours are also available. The Admissions Staff will go over the admissions process and financial aid.

During this day you will audition for scholarship opportunities in your specific area(s) of interest: vocal, ballet, instrumental, drama, art or communications (graphic design, journalism, media studies).

Lunch will be provided and students and parents are invited to stay after lunch if interested in certain department activities such as ballet class and individual meetings with ballet professor, jazz band rehearsal and percussion ensemble rehearsal.

Sign up for this and you will receive information on exactly what to expect during your audition time.

My Junior Day

One of our most popular events is scheduled May 1, 2014, for high school juniors and other college-bound high school students. The day begins at 9 a.m. with a welcome and scavenger hunt tour. You will sit in on a panel where current Friends University Students can answer any of your questions and parents will hear from the faculty panel.

There is no school in session on this day due to students enjoying their last day before finals begin. We take advantage of this by participating in their planned activities such as “Lunch on the Lawn” and outdoor games, including inflatables.

The official event ends after lunch but you may want to stick around listen to the jazz groups perform as well as play games and participate in activities with the current students. Sign up and come prepared and dressed for a fun, exciting day.
