With a desire to honor and celebrate the growth and formation that has taken place in the lives of our graduating class, we will hear from several students who have been profoundly shaped by God over the course of their time at Friends University.
The Hack-A-Thon is open to all Friends students without regard to their major or class standing. Freshman through senior students from a variety of majors work together to combine their skills and help outside clients develop web sites and other applications; develop computer games; learn to configure and manage Linux servers and clients; and develop a personal portfolio website. Hack-A-Thons allow students to graduate with several “real world” projects on their resume. Hack-A-Thons are a way for students to learn new skills and gain confidence within and outside of their major area of study in a non-graded, learning community environment.
