Dr. Dale L Heidebrecht

Dr. Dale L. Heidebrecht will serve as visiting lecturer in choral music and will conduct the Singing Quakers. He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Wichita State University and his Master of Music and his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting and Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder. His dissertation focused on the music of Baroque composer Isabella Leonarda, and he still edits her music. In 2008, he presented his vocal pedagogy research on the aging voice at the Southwestern American Choral Directors Association convention. As a singer, director and conductor, he has been active in church music for more than 30 years. He has also directed and has performed as an actor and singer in operas, musicals and plays.
