Randall Zellers has been at Friends University since 2011. He teaches applied Jazz Guitar, Jazz History and Jazz Theory as well as directing the Guitar Ensemble and one of the Friends University Jazz Combos. He is an active musician in the local and surrounding area, regularly performing jazz and free improvisation. He also takes part in local music theater productions, including being a member of the Music Theater of Wichita orchestra during the summer months. His compositions have been performed by the Friends University Tower Woodwind Quintet and Faculty Brass Quintet. He is a member of the fusion ensemble Daydream and can be heard on their debut album “Always on my Mind.”
