The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry degree is offered in this location:
For more than 25 years, we have been providing innovative graduate theological education, seeking to integrate both the academic and practical in equipping students for Christian ministry. Innovative in terms of the format, we offer classes once a week (along with one or two Saturday mornings), allowing the working person or the full-time minister to earn their Christian Ministry degree. Innovative in terms of substance, we include required courses in theology of ministry, leadership, spiritual formation and worship, along with the foundational courses in the Bible, church history and Christian theology. The 24-hour core courses are supplemented with 12-credit hours of workshop courses. The workshops provide a variety of learning experiences that range from scholarly to practical, contemporary Christian activities and experiences. They also significantly reduce the cost of the master's program.
Both laypersons and clergy are involved in our Master's in Christian Ministry program, reflecting together on learning to think biblically and theologically in actual ministry situations. Fellowship is an important component of our program, as we believe that education for Christian ministry should be done in the context of community, the church as the body of Christ. Often our graduates comment on how much they will miss the support and stimulation of their classmates once they graduate.
