University to host Trick-or-Treat event Oct. 27

A variety of ghosts, goblins, fairy princesses, superheroes and more will make their way to the annual Trick-or-Treat Off the Street event at Friends University from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27. The event starts at Friends Village, 628 S. Hiram Ave.

Children 12 and younger accompanied by their guardians will play games and collect candy throughout the University’s residence halls. A map of doors to knock on will be provided at the event.

“This trick-or-treat opportunity gives the community’s children a fun and safe experience, and Friends University students enjoy interacting with the kids,” said Rachel Harre, administrative assistant of community and residential development. “Additionally, we have some other activities for children to enjoy. Typically, around 300 individuals attend the event, and we are expecting a good turnout this year as well.”

Friends University, a Christian University of Quaker heritage, equips students to honor God and serve others by integrating their intellectual, spiritual and professional lives.
