Symphony of Spring concert presents On the Road

The Friends University Singing Quakers will present the Symphony of Spring concert featuring the theme On the Road. The performances will run Friday and Saturday, April 28-29, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 30, at 2 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center.

Hit the road with the Singing Quakers in their final concert of the year. Musical tunes, old and new, feature shows ranging from Thoroughly Modern Millie to Newsies to La La Land. Hear pop standards such as Route 66, Sentimental Journey and King of the Road and movie favorites like The Travel Song from Shrek.

β€œThe audience will enjoy moving ballads, up-tempo dance numbers, and the majesty of full orchestra and chorus in this show suited for the whole family,” said Dr. Bartel, choir director.

Tickets for adults are $16; students and seniors are $13. Tickets can be purchased by calling Friends University at 316-295-5677 or visiting friends.edu/finearts.
