Friends University to celebrate 2017 Homecoming Oct. 6-8

Friends University’s Homecoming will be Friday, Oct. 6, through Sunday, Oct. 8, and will feature a variety of special events, including the Saturday Homecoming parade, carnival and football game.

The Homecoming parade will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, and the alumni tailgate and carnival will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Falcon Football will play against Southwestern College at 3 p.m.

The Singing Quakers Heritage Sunday concert will take place at 10 a.m. Sunday at the University Friends Church, and Fall Ballet artists will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday in Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebit Auditorium. Adult tickets are $15 each with discounts for seniors and students and can be purchased at https://friends.edu/finearts/.

Additional activities will take place for Friends University alumni, including an awards ceremony for the Distinguished Alumni Award and Athletic Hall of Fame Friday night and a Singing Quakers international tours reunion Saturday.
