Feb. 12 band concert to focus on “flight” theme

The Concert Band will present a concert Monday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Friends University in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center.

“We are playing pieces that involve airplane flight, music inspired by the sky, Greek gods that flew and much more,” said Dr. John Taylor, professor of music.

Charleen Ayers, adjunct professor of voice performance and a soprano, will also be performing in the concert.

Tickets are $6 for adults, and $3 for seniors and students. They may be purchased online at friends.edu/finearts, or by calling the Fine Arts Box Office at 316-295-5677.
