Symphony of Spring to feature Fables, Stories and Legends – A night of Broadway, pop and Disney

Wichita, KS – The Friends University Singing Quakers will present the annual Symphony of Spring concert featuring the theme Fables, Stories and Legends. Disney favorites, pop standards, and Broadway tunes old and new will feature shows ranging from Man of La Mancha and Wicked to Tangled and Hercules. Moving ballads, up-tempo dance numbers and the majesty of a full orchestra and chorus make this a hit for the whole family.

The performance involves over 100 students and has been a tradition for more than 50 years.

“I love seeing so many families in the audience singing along and having just as much fun as we are,” said Singing Quakers performer Brittany Kuemmerle, senior.

The performances will run Friday and Saturday, April 27-28, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 29, at 2 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.

Tickets for adults are $15; students and seniors are $12. Tickets can be purchased by calling Friends University at 316-295-5677 or visiting friends.edu/finearts.
