Friends choirs to perform annual Christmas concert Nov. 30 – Dec. 2

Wichita, Kan. – Friends University will celebrate the holiday season with its annual performance of the Christmas Candlelight Concert, featuring the Friends University Singing Quakers, Concert Choir, Jazz Vocal Ensemble and the 150-voice Choral Union. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 2 in Sebits Auditorium in Riney Fine Arts Center.

The choirs will be joined by instrumentalists and organ to present a wide variety of holiday favorites, including the opportunity for the audience to join in singing familiar carols.

“Christmas Candlelight is a unique experience that not only brings the department together, but invites the community to celebrate the warmth of the holiday season,” said senior Panya Amphone. This will be his fourth year participating in the performance.

Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $13 for students and seniors (60+). The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium in Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
