Friends University Band Concert Includes World Premiere of Seas of the Moon Feb. 18

Wichita, KS – On Monday, Feb. 18, the Concert Band will present its winter concert at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center at Friends University.

The performance will include a world premiere of the work, Seas of the Moon, composed by Robery Buckley, Friends University composer/conductor-in-residence. The piece includes four movements titled Sea of Tranquility, Foaming Sea, Sea of Clouds and Serpent Sea.

The Andover Central High School will open the performance led by Bryan Kirk, conductor.

Tickets for the concert are $6 for adults and $3 for seniors and students.
