C. Patrick Woods of Topeka joins Friends University Board of Trustees

Friends University has named C. Patrick Woods of Topeka to its Board of Trustees. He began serving on the board at the Feb. 23 meeting in Wichita.

Woods is the Manager of Regulatory Strategy at ITC Great Plains, a Fortis Company in Topeka. He also currently serves as president of the Kansas Association of Schools Boards in Topeka and has served for a decade on the Topeka Board of Education.

He was named “50 Kansans to Know” by Ingram’s Business Magazine in Kansas City, and one of Greater Topeka’s “20 under 40” Top Professionals by the Jayhawk Area Council BSA. He graduated from Friends University in 2003 with a degree in political science-history and a minor in Spanish and earned a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kansas.

Woods lives in Topeka with wife Anna, a Topeka Public Schools teacher, and their two children, Zen and Itzel.
