Friends University Musical Theatre Workshop Class to present “You Will Be Found” May 4

Wichita, KS – The Friends University Musical Theatre Workshop class will present its showcase performance titled “You will be Found” May 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center at Friends University.

Contemporary musical theatre scenes will include the following shows, Dear Evan Hansen, Edges, The Light in the Piazza, Urinetown, The Color Purple, The Frogs, Ordinary Days and Waitress.

“The scenes will all focus on our universal need to belong, whether that be in terms of society, friendships or love,” said Dr. Matthew Schloneger, stage and musical director for the show.

This semester’s Dance for Musical Theatre class, led by Kelsey Teagle, will be performing two numbers on the program. Freshman dance major Olena Brown’s choreography will also be featured.

Performers include Olena Brown, Emily Chancellor, Londyn Doll, Caitlyn Fox, Chenille Hawkins, Ailee Howerton, Kaitlyn Matzen, Miles Morrison, Gunnar Marcum, Alison Parker, Bianca Petty, Clayton Reitz, Samantha Scantlin and Noah Townson.

The performance is free to attend.
