Friends University to present Jazz Combos in concert

Wichita- Friends University Jazz Department will present a concert Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium.

This concert will highlight Friends University jazz combos as well as feature numbers from SOULstice, the Faculty Jazz Quartet and other ensembles.

“Our jazz combo concert will feature five small groups that will be performing a variety of pieces from the classics of jazz to brand new compositions written and performed by students. We are very excited to showcase the many talents of students in the jazz department as well as their teachers,” said Dr. Robert Brooks, Director of the Jazz program.

The performance will take place in Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebits Auditorium on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for seniors and students.
