Natalie Brown First Friday Gallery Reception Set for Aug. 6

Wichita, Kan.– Friends University will host a First Friday gallery reception for artist and educator, Natalie Brown Aug. 6 from 5-7 p.m. The in-person reception will take place in the Riney Fine Arts Gallery on the Friends University campus. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is titled Reflections. “My exhibit reflects different aspects of the botanical elements that influence my work: forms, textures, edges and folds, color, light and shadow. The combination of 2D and 3D work helps provide insight to the viewer on my process and perspective in creating,” Brown said. “By capturing these moments of beauty, I hope to preserve them and bring awareness to nature’s delicate balance between strength and fragility- much like my favorite medium of clay.”

Reflections will be on display in the Riney Fine Arts Gallery until Aug. 28 and online at rineygallery.com.

The exhibit is sponsored in part by KMUW, Wichita’s National Public Radio member station.
