Friends University Theatre will present Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery Sept. 30 – Oct. 3, 2021

Wichita, Kan. – Friends University will present the comedy, Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, Thursday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021.

Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Story is a recent, comic farce and is taken from the famous mystery by Arthur Conan Doyle. The story follows the iconic pair of Dr. John Watson and Mr. Sherlock Holmes as they decipher mysterious clues. Will they crack the mystery of “The Hound of the Baskervilles” before a family curse dooms its newest heir?

This witty adaptation, written by Ken Ludwig, is told through various characters, scenes and locations with a small mixed ensemble who play more than 40 roles.

“Ingeniously funny… Ludwig has done a remarkable job adapting Doyle’s story to the stage while painting his own twist on the classic cites Broadway World.

Four in-person performances will be available for limited audiences Sept. 30 – Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. The performance will take place in the Cornerstone Studio Theater (D6) in the Riney Fine Arts on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $9 for students and seniors.
