100th Anniversary

Hello Singing Quaker Alum! Registration is now closed.

We have many exciting things planned for Saturday, November 9 including a light breakfast, all group rehearsal, group photo, luncheon and campus tours. Then we cap off the weekend with a concert on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.

(Registration is closed) The SQ 100th Anniversary Alumni Weekend package is $40 per person and includes a light breakfast, lunch, swag, a digital copy of the group photo, music and one Saturday evening general admission ticket. You can still purchase a CD by calling the Friends University Cashier at 316-295-5865.

The deadline to register has passed.

See Schedule of Events below.

Every SQ alum who participates will receive a director-signed commemorative item to take home.

If you need to purchase additional general admission concert tickets for family and friends, please go to www.friends.edu/fineartstickets. Tickets are available now! Note: Only Sunday tickets are available.

If you are traveling in for the weekend and would like to stay for the Sunday concert, please purchase a ticket to the Sunday matinee in order to ensure we have enough seats, or you are welcome to stay in C6 during the concert. We expect these concerts to sell out, so purchase your tickets early.*

Concert tickets will be sent at a later date from the Fine Arts ticket office.

If you are “traveling in”, you will be joining us on the last three songs of the concert. Those songs will be “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” arr. by Gilbert Martin, “Praise His Holy Name” by Keith Hampton and “Battle Hymn of the Republic” arr. by Wilhousky. To prepare, the recordings are linked in the names.

If you have any questions regarding the SQ alumni weekend, please contact Jessica Boone, Alumni Director, at jessica_boone@friends.edu. If you have questions regarding tickets, please contact Leigh Barton-Green at finearts@friends.edu.
