Dr. Lillian Green is the new assistant professor of strings and orchestra director. She has taught at various schools, including West Virginia University, Peabody Conservatory and the Montverde Academy Music Conservatory. For the last four years, she taught at Bethany College, where she directed the Bethany College/Lindsborg Community Orchestra. She performs frequently as a chamber player, orchestral musician and soloist in Kansas and abroad. Dr. Green earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Viola Performance and a Master of Music in Music Theory Pedagogy from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Previously, she earned a Master of Music in Viola Performance from the University of Delaware and a bachelor’s degree in music education from West Virginia University (with a triple emphasis in viola, violin and piano).
