Students can access their email account and sky drive, which provides 7 GB of storage that can be accessed from anywhere.
How do I set up student emails on an iPhone or Andriod device?
- If this is the first email account on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, tap Settings > Mail > Add Account.
- Tap Other.
- Tap in the Name box and enter your full name.
- Tap in the Address box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, freddy_falcon@student.friends.edu).
- Tap in the Password box and enter your password.
- Tap Save.
- Tap either IMAP or POP.
- Under Incoming Mail Server Host Name, enter m.outlook.com.
- Enter your user name (for example, freddy_falcon@student.friends.edu) and your password.
- Under Outgoing Mail Server Host Name, enter your outgoing server name.
- If you chose POP setup:
External POP setting:
Server name: pod51000.outlook.com
Port: 995
Encryption method: SSL
POP3 server name is pod51000.outlook.com
- If you chose IMAP setup:
External IMAP setting:
Server name: pod51000.outlook.com
Port: 993
Encryption method: SSL
IMAP server name is pod51000.outlook.com
- Enter your user name and password.
- Tap Save.
Staff, Faculty and Adjunct Email
Staff, faculty and adjuncts can access their Friends University email account with their network username and password.
How do I set up staff, faculty, or adjunct emails on an iPhone, Blackberry, or Andriod device?
- Turn off the Wi-Fi connection.
- Select either Exchange or Corporate depending on the phone for the type of account.
- Enter your full email address (for example, freddy_falcon@friends.edu).
- Enter webmail.friends.edu for the server name.
- Select SSL (usually a checkbox).
- Leave the domain field blank.
- Enter your network username (for example, friends\freddy_falcon).
- Enter your network password.
