This free event helps high school juniors and seniors prepare an art portfolio to apply for art scholarships. Students work on their portfolios in graphics, studio art, media, journalism, art education or computer graphics. Professional speakers as well as current students lead participants through the process, and lunch is provided. To register, please call 316-295-5656.

Friends University and Wichita Ballet Theatre present the full-length holiday favorite "The Nutcracker," featuring local dancers and ballet majors at Friends University.

The guest artists for December 10-11 will be Melody Herrera and Connor Walsh from Houston Ballet. December 16-18 performances will feature guest artists Wendy Whelan and Tyler Angle, principal dancers with The New York City Ballet.

The ballet seniors will showcase their own choreographed pieces. The numbers are a combination of two semesters of dance composition and choreography.

Celebrate the end of the school year with an outdoor concert featuring the Friends University Concert Band and Senseney Music Community Band. Earnest Alexander will be the featured soloist, and a free-will offering will be taken for Youth Horizons. Please bring folding chairs or blankets for seating.
