Friends University’s Dual Credit program will provide high school students the opportunity to earn college credits, saving the student time and money! Get a head start on your college career by enrolling in dual credit courses through Friends.

How does it work? 

Friends University partners with area high schools, hiring qualified high school teachers to teach specific courses, allowing students to earn college credits.

Tuition paid toward Friends University dual credit enrollment can now be applied to your first semester classes at Friends, up to $1,000.

Student Requirements

  • The student must be a high school sophomore, junior, or senior, and enrolled in high school classes to be able to sign up for dual credit
  • The student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
  • Students must have counselor permission
  • The student must earn a minimum grade of “C” in the first half (or semester) of a year-long course for credit to be awarded.
  • Letter grades submitted by the high school instructor of an A, B, C, D, or F will be posted to the student’s Friends University academic record
  • Please note: Some high schools may have varying requirements for enrollment

DUAL CREDIT – Enrollment Process (3 Steps)

Step 1. APPLY to become a Dual Credit student. (New Students Only)

  • Complete application to become a dual credit student.
  • Once application is submitted, helpdesk@friends.edu will respond with an email that includes your Friends University username and ID number (commonly known as your Friends “N” number).
    • Use the link within the email, along with your username and ID number to create an account.
      • Reach out to Help Desk at helpdesk@friends.edu or 316-295-5767 with account/login credential questions.

 Step 2. ENROLL in Course(s). (New Students & Returning Students)

  • Visit falconhub.friends.edu to login using your new Friends University login credentials. (Created prior to this step).
  • Click on Enrollment tile once in Falcon Hub.
    • Select Term
    • Enter CRNs and select correct course.
  • Once all classes are chosen, click SUBMIT in bottom right corner.

Step 3. MAKE PAYMENT

  • On the main screen within Falconhub, click View Balance and Pay
    • Refer to dual credit course list from your high school for credit hours.
      • $70 per credit hour (ex. 3 credit hour course = $210)
      • Free/reduce lunch qualifiers will pay $35 per credit hour (ex. 3 credit hour course = $105). This qualification will be confirmed by the high school.
    • Follow payment steps to complete the process.
      • If payment plan is needed, contact Student Account Services at SAS@friends.edu or by phone 316-295-5630.
      • If paying cash, please visit Student Account Services in Sumpter Hall (located just south of Davis building (clock tower).
      • To make payment by mail (check):
        • Please put student name and ID (N#) on memo line.
