Revel in the sounds of the Friends University big bands and jazz combos. This jazz season includes appearances by world-class guest artists that you will not want to miss! Under the direction of Lisa Hittle, the student jazz groups will entertain and amaze you with their talent and passion for playing the music of the jazz greats.

The Riney Fine Arts Gallery is conveniently located between Sebits Auditorium and the Fine Arts Office. Stop by the gallery anytime because the schedule is filled with a wide variety of artists who are sure to challenge you through their visual interpretations. Final Friday receptions are scheduled for each art show on the last Friday of each month from 5:00-7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted). Regular gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

The Friends University Ballet program has established itself as a regional leader and outstanding program of excellence. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet is one of only a handful in the nation. Come and enjoy the traditions of our Fall and Spring Ballets and our annual production of “The Nutcracker.”

Known for stirring performances at home and abroad, the sounds of Friends University choirs range from the intimacy of the Jazz Vocal Ensemble to the majesty of the 200-voice Choral Union. Under the leadership of Dr. Mark Bartel, Dr. Paul Brodene Smith, Rolaine Hetherington, Craig Curry and special guest conductors, the voices of Friends University are sure to inspire you!

The Concert Band concerts feature renowned guest artists and some of the greatest new and standard literature from the wind band repertoire. The Friends University Community Orchestra includes students and community members in full orchestra. Chamber ensembles, including the Percussion Ensemble and the Chamber Orchestra offer more opportunities for great music.
