Pablo Arrubla-Garces
Major: International Business
Hello, my name is Pablo Arrubla-Garces, and I am from Medellin, Columbia where I attended the Columbus School. I am passionate about International Business and aspire to become a successful entrepreneur in the United States. As a dedicated member of my university’s Friends Soccer team, I am not only focused on academics but also on developing teamwork and leadership skills through my involvement in sports.
Gustavo Renteria Jr
Major: Education
My name is Gustavo Renteria Jr. I am a sophomore at Friends and am studying Education. This is also my second-year wrestling as a Falcon. I am from El Paso Texas and graduated from Pebble Hills High School.
Yahir Perez
Major: Accounting and Spanish
My name is Yahir Perez, and I was born in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico but I have lived in Wichita, Kansas for most of my life. I graduated from Wichita West High School in 2023. My parents are also from Torreón, Mexico. I am planning to major in accounting with a minor in Spanish. Also, I am part of Latino Leadership.
Carolina Contreras
Major: Biology
My name is Carolina Contreras. I was born and raised in Wichita, KS. I graduated from Wichita Northwest High School. With my major I want to go into Forensic Science. I’m in the Friends Universities orchestra and the instrument I play is the violin.
Leonel Sanchez
Major: International business, Marketing & Spanish
My name is Leonel Sanchez, and I am from Quintana Roo, Mexico. I am a new Latino Leader and here at friends and I am currently majoring in International Business, Marketing, & Spanish. I’d like to pursue my journey in being an entrepreneur and starting my own business in the near future and hopefully being able to run a successful business. What I like to do on my free time is listen to music and play sports with friends. I am very proud to be Mexican and represent my beautiful country in any way that I can!
Olivia Minjares
Major: Health Science
Hello, my name is Olivia Minjares, I was born in Harlingen, Tx, but raised in Dallas, Tx. I am apart of Friends Women’s Soccer Team, and majoring in Health Science, hoping to pursue a career as a physical therapist. Friends University has brought me great memories and helped me meet amazing people.

Minor: Music and Business Administration
Hello! My name is Elijah Zortman! I am a sophomore majoring in Spanish with minors in Music and Business Administration. I am on the Cross Country, Track team, and the Singing Quakers. Friends University has brought many opportunities and great memories into my life! I’m excited for what lies ahead!

Hi! My name is Nevaeh Buntyn, I am a freshman studying health science with a minor in coaching. I am on the basketball team here at Friends and I love trying new things and being outdoors or listening to music. Can’t wait to make memories as I continue my college journey.
