Slapstick Comedy to Run Halloween Week at Friends University

The Friends University Theatre Department will be performing the modern slapstick comedy “The 39 Steps” at 7:30p.m. Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in the Riney Fine Arts building’s Cornerstone Studio Theatre.

“The 39 Steps” is Broadway’s longest running comedy. An ordinary man by chance meets a mysterious woman who claims to be a spy. After inviting her to his home, he finds her murdered. Soon after, a suspicious organization called “The 39 Steps” pursues him on a nationwide hunt while he tries to prove his true identity and innocence. This fast-paced whodunit features over 40 characters portrayed by four actors.
