Friends University Ballet Department hosts Dance Medicine Workshop

Wichita, KS- Friends University and AZ Dance Medicine Specialists are excited to be hosting Dance Medicine Workshop, a certification tour on April 25-26.

Participants in the workshop will learn anatomy and kinesiology as it applies to movement and dance. Topics will include injury management, helpful conditioning, self-assessment and more. AZ explains their mission as “dancers who specialize in getting dancers back on their feet quickly and safely. Our holistic approach to treatment goes beyond traditional physical therapy to get you dancing your best.”

“We are so excited to cohost this event as we firmly believe this is an essential component to encouraging the success of our dancing students,” said Friends University Ballet Director, Andrea Vazquez.

The workshop will take place in studio E16 in Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. The workshop costs $495 ($595 within two weeks of the event). Register at https://azdancemed.com/dancemed1.
