Friends University’s Community Orchestra to Perform Outdoor Concert, April 18

The Friends University Community Orchestra will present a public concert for the first time since 2019 on Sunday, April 18,2021 at 2 p.m.

The performance will be outdoors on the Rose Window Plaza on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.

Spring Orchestra Concert

The concert will include music featuring popular composers: Beethoven, Brahms, Bach and more. The Friends University Miller Competition winners from 2020 and 2021 include Samantha Scantlin (voice) and Alison Parker (flute). They will be honored and featured as soloists.

Admission is free and no tickets are required. Some seating will be provided but concert goers are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair. School policy requires face coverings and social distancing.
