Neal Allsup has been an adjunct faculty member at Friends University since spring 2022 where he teaches voice and the jazz vocal ensemble. Allsup is also the Director of Choral Activities at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas. Allsup received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and earned his Master of Music degree in Conducting from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Allsup taught K-12 vocal music in Iowa, directed the Concert Chorale, Women’s Chorus, and Collegium Musicum at Kansas State University, and was director of the Officers’ Chorus at Fort Riley, Kansas (U.S. Army). Neal and his wife, Joni, live in Hutchinson, Kansas.
