Dr. Ana Jurcak-Detter earned her BS in Biology at the State University of New York at Oswego where she also played Division III Women’s Soccer. She was a member of the Laboratory for Sensory Ecology at Bowling Green State University for both her master’s and doctoral degrees in Biological Sciences. At Friends, she is the major advisor for the Conservation Science program. Her research focuses include ecology, behavior, freshwater ecology, and predator prey interactions. She has engaged in research with undergraduates focusing on animal behavior, freshwater ecology, invasive species, and citizen science projects, such as monarch tagging. With athletics, Ana is the faculty liaison for the Women’s Soccer program.
