Christopher Johnson

Chris Johnson has been active as a music educator and performer in the state of Kansas for the past 13 years. He previously taught instrumental music in the El Dorado, K.S. and McPherson, K.S. public schools, and has served as clarinet instructor for the K-State Music Camp, High Plains Music Camp, and other youth organizations in Kansas. He’s performed as a member of various community ensembles including the Hutchinson Symphony and Salina Community Theater and has spent the past three years as principal clarinet for the Salina Symphony, where he’s also performed as a soloist.

Chris received his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music degrees from Kansas State University, and the Master of Science in Education degree from Fort Hays State University. His primary instructors were Jay Steinberg and Dr. Tod Kerstetter.
