Friends hires Dolezal as vice president of finance and chief financial officer

Vernon Dolezal has accepted the position of vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Friends University. He will begin his position at Friends June 27.

Dolezal is a strategically-focused individual with 25 years of experience in accounting, finance, management and human resources. Since 2009, he has been serving as CFO and as a member of the senior leadership team at High Touch Technologies in Wichita. Prior to his role at High Touch, he was director of finance and accounting operations at Accenture BPO Services in Wichita. Dolezal has a wide array of experience from owning and operating his own company to management positions in manufacturing distribution, financial services, food service, technology and computer software.

Dolezal has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He serves on a number of local boards including Goodwill Industries, Goddard Education Foundation and Laughing Feet Performers. For five years, he was a member of the United Way Allocation Committee. In 2011, Dolezal was named as a Wichita Business Journal CFO honoree.
