Friends University wins Silver for Best  College/University Ranking in Wichita Eagle

Wichita, KS— Friends University has been named one of the best colleges/universities in Wichita by the Wichita Eagle. Over 7,000 businesses, organizations and individuals petitioned for a spot on the coveted list which features 243 categories highlighting the top construction companies, restaurants, boutiques and shops, healthcare resources, and educational institutions in the region, among others.

In the Best College/University in Wichita category, Friends ranked second (silver) to Wichita State University. Crave Beauty Academy also made the list, sliding into the bronze position.

“It’s exciting to be considered the top private university in Wichita!” Friends University president Dr. Amy Bragg Carey said. “I believe this prestigious award is not just a reflection of the good work happening on campus but a recognition of the ongoing impact of Friends alumni. It’s wonderful to see our graduates in demand and doing so well in the community.”

Numerous factors contributed to this achievement, including our nationally ranked programs, strong community partnerships, servant-led culture, and the best value in higher education costs in Kansas. Friends University is excited to pursue even more opportunities and continue to provide the best private higher education in the Wichita area.
