Doug Billings

In college, Doug graduated with a BFA in Printmaking from Mankato State University, Minnesota. He was accepted into the printmaking graduate program at Wichita State University by the prominent and respected printmakers Prof. David Bernard and Prof. John Boyd receiving his MFA degrees in Printmaking & Drawing.

Later, he joined the Wichita Artists Guild, serving as President for 3 years and on the Board of Directors for 7 years, He was also accepted as a member /partner of Gallery XII, a Wichita artist’s cooperative gallery serving as President for 3 years. Doug is/has been a member of four National Printmakers Organizations; the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA) New York, NY, the Boston Printmakers, Boston, MA, the Print Club, Philadelphia, PA and the American Color Print Society Philadelphia, PA.

Doug is the founder of the Tall Grass Prairie Press Printmakers and an instructor of printmaking & acrylic painting at Mark Arts Art Center.

His work can be seen locally at: Gallery XII, Mark Arts, the Wichita Downtown Development offices, the board room at Fleeson, Gooing, Coulson & Kitch law offices in the Epic Center, the Kansas Health Foundation offices, Century II and on the corner of Washington & Douglas.
