Center on Family Living Services

The Center on Family Living provides a number of services for students and the public.

To Begin Services

During office hours

  • Walk in and request to complete an intake with staff.
  • Call the CFL main line and complete an intake over the phone. (This process takes about 10-15 minutes.)

After hours or weekends

  • Leave a message on the CFL main line with contact information. Staff will attempt to return call on the next business day to complete a telephone intake.

Intakes are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis with Friends University students receiving priority assignment.

Request Services

You may also use the request for services form to contact us about services.

Student Self-Referral

If students have confidentiality concerns or questions about therapy, they may call Bethany Gray, Director of CFL & Campus Mental Health, at 316-295-5637 to complete the telephone intake.

Faculty or Staff Referral

Staff or faculty may walk over or refer a student to the CFL. To receive any information regarding the referred student’s services at the CFL (i.e. attendance, progress, termination), the student would need to sign our form to release information to that specific staff or faculty member before any information could be released. Without the release, CFL staff is unable to discuss whether or not the student is receiving services at the CFL.

CFL services are available to all Friends University students unless the student is a staff member or a family member of a staff member. These students will be provided with referrals outside of the CFL.
