Quantitative problem solving: Students will be able to define a problem, analyze numerical information, apply mathematical principles, and integrate quantitative methods into problem solving.

CBASE: 3 Credit Hours Required (MATH 101, MATH 102, MATH 111, MATH 112, MATH 200, or MATH 201)
CAPS: 3 Credit Hours Required (MATH 105 or MATH 120)

  • Learning Outcome 2-A (O2-A): Representation – Translate problem and represent solution in the appropriate mathematical form.
  • Learning Outcome 2-B (O2-B): Methodology – Identify suitable methods to solve problem.
  • Learning Outcome 2-C (O2-C): Computation – Carry out correct calculations and/or logical steps to arrive at solution.
  • Learning Outcome 2-D (O2-D): Interpretation – Present the solution in the context of the original problem and draw relevant conclusions.
